Did you predict the #covid19 #pandemic? Even if you did, “I told you so” shouldn’t be your go to.
While credibility is our currency in the compliance profession and as knowledge workers we LOVE to be right or the smartest in the room, our impact is determined by our influence.
Gloating and feeling superior might drive your own ego, but it destroys relationships.
In #compliance and #ethics, life is always evolving and it’s so critical to see the gray and be able to navigate nuance based on risk.
Make sure you are tending your relationships and allowing for credibility enhancing moments by being a trusted resource in the good times and the bad.
